5019 aluminium alloy is an aluminium–magnesium alloy with magnesium and traces of manganese and chromium. It is highly resistant to attack by seawater and industrial chemicals.

With good overall mechanical properties, 5019 aluminium alloy benefits from good weldability and retains its strength after this process. The material combines excellent ductility with good formability and performs well in low-temperature service.
